After its birth in 1948, the Land Rover was a heavy-duty vehicle used by the military, police, fire departments, etc., just like the American Jeep. The aluminum body on the ladder frame was not for the purpose of weight reduction, but because of the iron shortage in the UK after World War II. The sub-name Defender was given in 1990, the year after the new model Discovery was released, to separate the two vehicles.
The grades 90/110/127 (130) are the difference in wheelbase (inches), and the engines vary from a 2.4-liter diesel turbo to a 3.9-liter gasoline engine depending on the year. It was also officially imported to Japan by Land Rover Japan for a time. The 90 is a 3-door short-wheelbase model that is easy to handle in harsh off-road conditions, and it was used in rally raid competitions including the Camel Trophy, the world's toughest adventure rally, demonstrating its toughness to the world. In modeling this as a miniature car, we incorporated many of the images from the competition.
