The Chinese Navy aircraft carrier Shandong is an improved version of the previous-class aircraft carrier Liaoning; the Shandong's flight deck is a ski-jump type like that of the Liaoning. While the Liaoning could carry about 24 J-15 fighters, the Shandong is capable of carrying about 32 to 36 aircraft; the number jumps to 50 to 70 if you include rotorcraft.
