BMW's latest touring car race model is the M8 GTE. The base is BMW's flagship model, the M8 Coupe, a two-door coupe with a luxurious body design and high performance. The race version features an engine with a displacement of four liters, equipped with a turbocharged V8 cylinder on the front. The body was equipped with parts to enhance its aerodynamic performance, including a large rear wing and rear diffuser. The M8 GTE made its debut in the 2018 24 Hours of Daytona race; it took part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, won its class in the 2019 24 Hours of Daytona, and won its class in 2020 for the second consecutive year.
