Planet 1/72 GAF 22 Nomad Plastic Model Kit

The GAF Nomad is a modern Australian-made transport plane. The flight of the prototype took place in 1971, and serial production continued in the years 1975-1985. About 170 machines of this type of all versions were created during it. The machine - in the N22B version - is 12.57 meters long with a wingspan of 16.46 meters. The drive is provided by two Allison 250B17 engines with 400 HP each.

The GAF Nomad was developed and manufactured at the Government Aircraft Factory (GAF), and research and development work on the machine began in 1965. The machine has a high-wing configuration and has STOL properties, i.e. shortened take-off and landing. Several development versions were created in the course of serial production, including: N22 (transport version for the Australian army, capable of taking up to 12 passengers on board), N22C (transport version with increased payload) or N24A (version intended for transporting up to 17 passengers). The military users of this aircraft are Australia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand and Papua New Guinea.
