The SNCAC NC.701 Martinet was a French training and transport aircraft from the Second World War and the post-war period. The drive - in the NC.701 version - was provided by two engines Renault 12 S-00 with 590 hp each. The prototype flight took place in April 1944. Serial production started shortly after, which led to the creation of about 350 aircraft of this type.
During the German occupation of 1940-1944, the production of the Siebel Si.204 aircraft was carried out at the SNCAC aviation plant for the needs of the Luftwaffe. This production lasted from 1942 to 1944. After the liberation of France by the Western Allies, it was decided to continue the production of Si.204 aircraft, but modernized for the needs of the resurgent French air force. Finally, two mass-produced models were developed. The first is the NC.701, which was powered by Renault 12 S-00 engines and had a completely glazed nose of the fuselage. It acted as a training machine. The second version is NC.702, which had the classic shape of the front of the fuselage and served as a transport plane. Machinery SNCAC NC.701 were exported to Morocco, Poland and Sweden.
