Tamiya 1:48 Junkers Ju87 B-2 Stuka with Bomb Loading Set

Tamiya brings back its 1/48-scale Junkers Ju87 model kit with a bomb-loading team! The Junkers J87 Stuka was a Luftwaffe dive bomber born in the 1934 development plan. It made a name for itself by leading the blitzkrieg operation at the beginning of World War II to great success. Among the Ju87 types produced, the B type was the main type used in the first half of the war. It was equipped with a 1,200-horsepower Junkers Jumo 211D engine in a sturdy aircraft with reverse gull wings and fixed landing gear, capable of carrying bombs weighing up to 1,000kg. Its bombing performed with a 90-degree descent angle was extremely accurate, and was feared by Allied soldiers. Despite the great damage caused by the British mainland air battle in the summer of 1940, the Ju87 B-2 continued to show its power in the Mediterranean, Balkan and Russian fronts.

This model kit from Tamiya accurately reproduces the Stuka's rugged style with its reverse gull wings and fixed landing gear with spats. The inside of the cockpit features photo-etched parts for a three-dimensional effect; the Junkers Jumo 211D engine is also included, and can be displayed with the cowling removed. 500kg bombs are included, as are four 50kg bombs. Two maintenance crewmen figures are included, as is a bomb dolly, to recreate a loading scene. Decals are included for two aircraft from the time of the Battle of Britain, one each from the Balkan and Russian fronts, and an aircraft from the Hungarian Air Force (total of five versions).
