SS Jeremiah O'Brien ,'Liberty Ship' 1:700 from Trumpeter

Good things come in small packages, and so it is for Jeremiah O'Brien !
From the assembly instructions to the painting and marking instructions everything is extremely clear , no guess work required. Handrails, safety nets and ladders from Trumpeter's aftermarket series add to an upmarket scale model . I also found 1:35 US Army weapons kit that had ammo boxes that with a little bit of filing and they make great deck cargo and fine rigging wire brings the total package to life.
The actual kit is great no flashing to contend with and the parts fit nicely without to much assistance overall it makes a very nice example of the hardworking and sometimes under recognised merchant vessels and crews that played a massive roll in the Battle of the Atlantic .
The 'Jeremiah ' has a sister ship the 'John W. Brown' also available from Trumpeter in 1:700 and equally as good a kit as the Jeremiah O'Brien.
